Ecstatic Dance – Rebirth and Unite / Ecstatic Dance Athens, Beehive Community – Κυριακή, 10/3/2024, 12:00-16:00

Σας καλούμε να χορέψουμε μαζί, σε αυτή την περίοδο που το Πνεύμα της Άνοιξης έχει ξυπνήσει και μεταφέρει το άνθισμά του, όπως και εμείς, η ομάδα του Ecstatic Dance Athens. Σε αυτή μας την εκδήλωση θα ενωθούμε και θα συνεργαστούμε με την Beehive Community στο Θέατρο Εμπρός. Είναι απαραίτητο για εμάς να το κάνουμε στο αυτοδιαχειριζόμενο Θέατρο του Εμπρός, καθώς θέλουμε να δηλώσουμε ότι η Έκσταση είναι μια κατάσταση επανάστασης όταν είναι συνειδητή. Επίσης θέλουμε να στηρίξουμε και οικονομικά το θέατρο διότι για χρόνια τώρα, έχει υπάρξει ένας τόπος συνάντησης ανθρώπων απο διάφορες κουλτούρες, κινημάτων, ιδεών και όμορφων συμπράξεων.

Αυτή η χρονική περίοδος είναι πολύ συνδεδεμένη επίσης με τις ιδιότητες του Καρναβαλιού που για εμάς έχει βαθύτερο νόημα. Είναι η ώρα να νιώσουμε τη Φύση που ξυπνά, τη γονιμότητα της Γης, που επικαλείται το ένστικτό μας, της ενότητας και του έρωτα. Θα είμαστε σε επαφή με τους τρόπους με τους οποίους οι αυτόχθονες άνθρωποι σέβονται και τιμούν τη Γη ως Μεγάλη Μητέρα. Ως ακτιβιστές, η έκσταση μπορεί να μας ενδυναμώσει και να μας δώσει τη δύναμη να συνεχίσουμε να υπερασπιζόμαστε και να προστατεύουμε αυτό που νιώθουμε πολύτιμο: Το δικαίωμα της ελευθερίας όλων των όντων να υπάρχουν με τον τρόπο που θέλουν να εκφράσουν την αληθινή τους ουσία. Είμαστε πολύ χαρούμενοι που γιορτάζουμε εκστατικά μαζί σας!!!

Τι είναι ο Εκστατικός Χορός;

Το Ecstatic Dance είναι ένα ρεύμα ελεύθερης κίνησης, όπου χορεύετε με όποιον τρόπο αισθάνεστε καλύτερα.
Σε αυτόν τον χορό, δεν υπάρχει δομή ή βήματα που πρέπει να ακολουθήσετε ή να χορέψετε με οποιονδήποτε συγκεκριμένο τρόπο.
Είναι ένας ασφαλής χώρος με ατμόσφαιρα που προάγει την αίσθηση ελευθερίας, ένα δοχείο αποδοχής και θάρρους που δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε ανθρώπους κάθε ηλικίας και επαγγέλματος να εκφραστούν ελεύθερα μέσω του χορού.
Πιστεύουμε ότι μέσω του χορού ο καθένας μπορεί να ανακαλύψει, να εξερευνήσει, να απελευθερώσει και να ενδυναμώσει τις ατομικές του δυνατότητες και τον εσωτερικό εαυτό του. Ας δημιουργήσουμε μια υπέροχη και δυνατή ενέργεια και ας γιορτάσουμε τη ΖΩΗ στο έπακρο!

Πλαίσιο Συμμετοχής στον Εκστατικό Χορό

– Χορεύουμε και κινούμαστε ελεύθερα με επίγνωση, φροντίδα και σεβασμό προς τους άλλους
– Χορεύουμε ξυπόλητοι ή με κάλτσες (τα παπούτσια είναι αποδεκτά για ιατρικούς λόγους)
– Απαγορεύεται το αλκοόλ, το κάπνισμα ή οι ναρκωτικές ουσίες
– Όχι φαγητό ή ποτό μέσα στην αίθουσα *
– Χορεύουμε στη σιωπή
– Χωρίς φωτογραφίες ή βίντεο, κινητά στο αθόρυβο

*Στο φουαγιέ του θεάτρου θα μπορείτε να κάνετε το διάλειμμά σας όποτε το χρειαστείτε. θα προσφέρουμε τσάι, νερό και φρούτα.

Γεννήθηκε στη Χίο το 1970 και είναι αναγνωρισμένος ηχολήπτης, Dj, Stage Manager και πολιτιστικός ακτιβιστής που δραστηριοποιείται εδώ και 35 χρόνια στην ελληνική μουσική σκηνή. Επίσης είναι αφιερωμένος τουλάχιστον 15 χρόνια στην Αθήνα, ως ακτιβιστής, ο οποίος υποστηρίζει και συμμετέχει σε πολλά κοινωνικά και κινηματογραφικά εγχειρήματα, συλλογικότητες, κέντρα διαλογισμού, ομάδες με καλλιτεχνικές οικολογικές και πνευματικές αναζητήσεις. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε εκατοντάδες μεγάλα φεστιβάλ σε όλη την Ευρώπη, την Ασία, την Αμερική και την Αφρική και έχει συνεργαστεί με σπουδαίους και γνωστούς μουσικούς σε όλο τον κόσμο από διαφορετικές μουσικές κουλτούρες.
Ο Junior X συντονίζει Εκστατικούς Χορούς εδώ και 6 χρόνια ως Facilitator, Resident DJ, Ceremony Leader, στο Ecstatic Dance Athens που ιδρύθηκε στην Αθήνα το 2018 από τον Daniel Bofill και τη Μαριάννα Τσαγκαράκη. Επίσης στα 6 χρόνια εξάσκησης και μελέτης
Εκστατικού Χορού έχει κάνει περισσότερες από 82 συνεδρίες Εκστατικού Χορού σε όλη την Ελλάδα και είναι ο πρώτος Έλληνας Dj και Sound Designer που μαζί με την ομάδα Ecstatic Dance Athens διοργάνωσε την πρώτη εκδήλωση Εκστατικού Χορού στην Ελλάδα και στην Αθήνα. Το 2017 συμμετείχε σε μια από τις πρώτες Τελετές Κακάο που έγιναν στην Ελλάδα και την Αθήνα με τον σαμάνο Joe Molloy, και τις σαμάνες Otilia Selicean και Βαλέρια Κουδουμογιαννάκη.
Τα ταξίδια είναι αυτό που τον εμπνέουν, καθώς του δίνουν την ευκαιρία να εφαρμόσει την τέχνη του διαλογισμού, την ανατολική φιλοσοφία και τις αρχαίες σαμανικές πρακτικές από όλη την ανθρωπότητα, σε όλο το ταξίδι του ως ακτιβιστής και καλλιτέχνης. Πηγή έμπνευσής του είναι τα ταξίδια του στη μεγαλύτερη έρημο του κόσμου, την έρημο Σαχάρα και τα βουνά του Άτλαντα στο Μαρόκο, στο Μεξικό και τη χερσόνησο Γιουκατάν, στην Ισλανδία και τις σκανδιναβικές χώρες. Και από την Ελλάδα, στην Αίγινα, τους Δελφούς, τον Όλυμπο και την Πιερία, την Ικαρία, τη Σαμοθράκη, την Κρήτη και τη Γαύδο.
Από το καλοκαίρι του 2020 είναι ένας από τους Label Djs του βρετανικού και ιστορικού Liquid Sound Design – Λονδίνο, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο που ιδρύθηκε το 1998, από τον Youth -Martin Glover, ο οποίος είναι ο μπασίστας των ιστορικών Killing Joke και ο ιδρυτής της ιστορικής Dragonfly Records – UK (1993).

Συντονιστές:

Η Βαλέρια Κουδουμογιαννάκη είναι ψυχολόγος, με μεταπτυχιακό στη θετική ψυχολογία, που ασχολείται με τις εκφραστικές τέχνες (ζωγραφική, χορός, ποίηση κ.λπ.) αλλά και με ολιστικούς τρόπους θεραπείας. Εκπαιδεύτηκε στο ρέικι και σε άλλες μορφές ενεργειακής θεραπείας, τις οποίες εφαρμόζει μαζί με τεχνικές διαλογισμού, όπως Shambala MD, Θήτα healing, Roizon. Αυτό που ταίριαζε καλά με την κοσμοθεωρία της, ήταν οι σαμανικές θεραπευτικές πρακτικές που της έδωσαν εξαιρετικά εργαλεία. Οι ρίζες τους είναι από την περιοχή του Αμαζονίου και χρονολογούνται χιλιάδες χρόνια πίσω. Δάσκαλοί της είναι η Chris Waters και η ομάδα της στην Αγγλία και τη Ρουμανία και ο Joe Molloy, στην Αγγλία και την Ελλάδα. Στο Glastonbury έχει λάβει τις τελετές του σαμάνου, που ονομάζονται Munay Ki, μεταξύ άλλων μυήσεων. Επίσης έχει διδαχθεί το Δεξιό, το Αριστερό και το Μέσο μονοπάτι του σαμανισμού από την παράδοση των Άνδεων, την πρακτική Tensegrity του Carlos Castaneda, μεταξύ άλλων.

 

ΜΑΡΙΑΝΝΑ ΤΣΑΓΚΑΡΑΚΗ
Η Μαριάννα Τσαγκαράκη αποφοίτησε το 2001 από την Επαγγελματική Σχολή Χορού «Ραλλού Μάνου» λαμβάνοντας το Δίπλωμα Καθηγήτριας Χορού. Είναι χορεύτρια, δασκάλα διαλογιστικού χορού, δασκάλα Hatha yoga, Θεραπεύτρια Μάλαξης και *Σωματο-ψυχοπαιδαγωγός – DBM (Δίπλωμα στην Αντιληπτική Ψυχολογία – Σωματο-ψυχοπαιδαγωγική), διαπιστευμένο από το Πανεπιστήμιο Fernando Pessoa της Πορτογαλίας το 2021. Η εκπαίδευσή της και η συνεχής εξερεύνηση στον τομέα της ενσυνείδητης κίνησης περιλαμβάνει χορό και ολιστικές πρακτικές επίγνωσης, με θεραπευτικές προεκτάσεις όπως: Hatha Yoga (πιστοποιημένη δασκάλα από τη Yoga Alliance 200h, Yogart Studio), Στροβιλισμός Sufi υπό την καθοδήγηση του Ziya Azazi και μαθήματα «Ελληνικής Αρχετυπικής Έκφρασης» με τη Βασιλική Σκρέκου. Από ενεργειακές θεραπείες, έχει λάβει τον 1ο βαθμό στο Ρέικι από την Κωνσταντίνα Τρίμμη και τις 2 πρώτες μυήσεις στο Munay Ki, από τον Γεώργιο Βράιλα. Το 2018 δημιούργησε την ομάδα Ecstatic Dance Athens με τον Daniel Bofill και τον Μάνο Χατζημανώλη aka DJ Junior X, όπου έκαναν τις πρώτες εκδηλώσεις Ecstatic Dance στην Αθήνα. Ένα χρόνο μετά συνέχισε να τις συνδιοργανώνει με τον Παναγιώτη Παύλου και έως σήμερα εμψυχώνει τους κύκλους της ομάδας της. Με τον Μάνο Χατζημανώλη πέρα από την συνεργασία που διατηρούν μέσα στα πλαίσια του Ecstatic Dance Athens, αυτή την περίοδο έχουν ξεκινήσει μια νέα σύμπραξη διαλογιστικής κίνησης & ηχοτοπίων με θεραπευτικές συχνότητες, που γίνεται σε μηνιαία βάση στο Ananda Unity. Kαθοδηγεί τα μαθήματα “Διάφανο Σώμα”, Στροβιλισμού και Αισθητηριακής Κίνησης, τα οποία επίσης συντονίζει σε μορφή εργαστηρίου και εκτός Αθήνας. Ενώ παράλληλα, δίνει ατομικές συνεδρίες “Δια Χειρός συνοδείας” της μεθόδου *DBM και Ολιστικής Μάλαξης.
Της αρέσει να συμπράττει με συναδέλφους γιατί πιστεύει στην δύναμη του μαζί, δημιουργώντας εργαστήρια που αγκαλιάζουν το ευρύ πεδίο του χορού με πρακτικές ενδυνάμωσης, ενσωμάτωσης, θεραπείας καθώς και με πνευματικές πρακτικές που προσεγγίζουν τη φιλοσοφική διάσταση της κίνησης.

 

FELIX METZGER
Ο Felix Metzger, γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στη Γερμανία και μετακόμισε στην Αθήνα μετά το μεταπτυχιακό του στην Κοινωνιολογία και την εμβάθυνση σε διάφορους τομείς της τέχνης και του ακτιβισμού. Στην Ελλάδα ασχολήθηκε βαθύτερα με τις Τέχνες του Αυτοσχεδιασμού, ιδιαίτερα το Contact Improv και το Θέατρο Αυτοσχεδιασμού. Από το 2016 παρακολουθεί μαθήματα CI καθώς και εκδηλώσεις 5 Rhythms and Ecstatic Dance, ενώ τον Ιούλιο του 2023 παρακολούθησε το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα εμψύχωσης του Contact Beyond Contact.
Μαζί με φίλους ίδρυσε τον συνεταιρισμό The Beehive Community στην Αθήνα το 2018. Η αποστολή του συνεταιρισμού είναι να προσφέρει μαθήματα και εκδηλώσεις στις οποίες οι συμμετέχοντες μπορούν να εξερευνήσουν την ύπαρξή τους στον κόσμο, να αυξήσουν την αυτογνωσία τους και να συνδεθούν βαθιά με τους άλλους. Αυτό συμβαίνει χρησιμοποιώντας τις Τέχνες του Αυτοσχεδιασμού, τα εργαλεία επικοινωνίας και τις μεθόδους σύνδεσης που οδηγούν σε ένα ευχάριστο βίωμα και σε ένα άνοιγμα στην ευημερία και την κοινωνική αλλαγή.

We invite you to dance together, in this period when the Spirit of Spring has awakened and shares the blooming, as do we, the Ecstatic Dance Athens team. In this event we will join and collaborate with The Beehive Community at the Embros Theatre. It is necessary for us to do so in the self-managed theater Embros, as we wish to declare that Ecstasy is a state of revolution when it is conscious. We also want to financially support the theater because for years now, it has been a meeting point for people from different cultures, movements, ideas and beautiful partnerships.

This period of time, is also very much connected with the qualities of Carnival which for us has a deeper meaning. It is time to feel the awakening Nature, the fertility of the Earth, which invokes our instinct, of unity and love. We will be in touch with the ways in which indigenous people respect and honor the Earth as the Great Mother. As activists, ecstasy can empower us and give us the strength to continue to defend and protect what we hold dear: The right of freedom of all beings to exist in the way they want to express their true essence. We are very happy to celebrate ecstatically with you!!!

What is the Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance is a free conscious movement where you dance in whatever way feels best to you.
In this dance, there is no structure or steps to follow or dance in any particular way.
It is a safe space with an atmosphere that promotes a sense of freedom, a container of acceptance and courage that enables people of all ages and professions to express themselves freely through dance.
We believe that through dance everyone can discover, explore, release and empower their individual potential and inner self. Let’s create a wonderful and powerful energy and celebrate LIFE to the fullest!

Guidelines for Participation in Ecstatic Dance event
– We dance and move freely with awareness, care and respect for others
– We dance barefoot or with socks (shoes are acceptable for medical reasons)
– Alcohol, smoking or drugs are prohibited
– No food or drink inside the dance hall*
– We dance in silence
– No photos or videos, mobile on silent mode

*In the foyer of the theater, you will be able to take your break whenever you need it. We will provide tea, water and fruits.

He was born in Chios in 1970, and he is a recognized Sound Designer, DJ, Stage Manager, and cultural activist active for 35 years in the Greek music scene. Also, he has dedicated at least 15 years in Athens, as an activist, who supports and participates in many social and cinematic ventures, collectives, meditation centers, and groups with artistic ecological, and spiritual pursuits. Also, he has participated in hundreds of major festivals throughout Europe, Asia, America, and Africa and he has collaborated with great and well-known musicians around the world from different musical cultures.
Junior X has been coordinating Ecstatic Dances for 6 years as Facilitator, Resident DJ, and Ceremony Leader, at Ecstatic Dance Athens which was founded in Athens in 2018 by Daniel Bofill and Marianna Tsagarakis. Also in the 6 years of practicing and studying Ecstatic Dance, he has done more than 82 Ecstatic Dance Sessions all over Greece and is the first Greek DJ and Sound Designer who together with the Ecstatic Dance Athens team organized the first Ecstatic Dance In Greece and Athens, in 2017 he participated in one of the first Cacao Ceremony held in Greece and Athens with the shaman Joe Molloy, and the shamans Otilia Selicean, and Valeria Koudoumogiannaki. Traveling is what inspires him, as it allows him to apply the art of meditation, eastern philosophy and ancient shamanic practices from all humanity throughout his journey as an activist and artist. The source of his inspiration is his journey to the world’s largest desert the Sahara desert and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, Iceland and the Scandinavian countries. And in Greece, Aegina, Delphi, Olympus and Pieria, Ikaria, Samothrace, Crete and Gavdos. Since the summer of 2020 he is one of the Label Djs of British and Historical Liquid Sound Design – London, UK founded in 1998 by 1998, Youth -Martin Glover, who is the bass player of the historic Killing Joke and the founder of the historic Dragonfly Records – UK (1993).

Facilitators:

Valeria Koudoumogiannaki is a psychologist, with a Master’s degree in positive psychology, working with expressive arts (drawing, dancing, poetry etc) and also holistic ways of healing. She was trained in reiki, and other forms of energy healing, which she practices along with meditation techniques, such as Shambala MD, theta healing, and Roizon. What fitted in well with her worldview, were shamanic healing practices which gave her excellent tools. Their origins are from the Amazon region and date back thousands of years. Her teachers are Chris Waters and her team in England and Romania and Joe Molloy, in England and Greece. In Glastonbury she has received the rites of the shaman, called the Munay Ki, among other initiations. Also, she has been taught the Right, Left, and Middle paths of shamanism from the Andean tradition, and the Tensegrity of Carlos Castaneda practice, among others.
She has worked with women’s circles and other ways of creating togetherness. She has a lot of experience as a healer, and a psychologist and leads ceremonies such as Despacho, Fire and the Wheel of the Year Ceremonies. One very important goal for her is the creation of a psychosocial framework for flourishing based on cooperativeness and solidarity, at the level of community and society. Her project is called Flourish. gr and she is a collaborator of The Beehive Community, their main common goal is the empowerment of the Culture of Care.

 

Marianna Tsagaraki graduated in 2001 from the Professional School of Dance “Rallou Manou” receiving the Diploma of Dance Teacher. She is a dancer, meditative dance teacher, Hatha yoga teacher, Massage Therapist and *Somatic-psychoeducation Practitioner – DBM (Diploma in Perceptual Psychology – Somatic-psychoeducation), accredited by Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal in 2021. Her training and ongoing exploration in the field of conscious movement includes dance and holistic mindfulness practices, with therapeutic extensions such as: Hatha Yoga (Yoga Alliance 200h Certified Teacher, Yogart Studio), Sufi Whirling under Ziya Azazi and classes of “Greek Archetypal Expression” with Vasiliki Skrekou. From energy treatments, he has received the 1st degree in Reiki from Konstantina Trimmi and the first 2 initiations in Munay Ki, from Georgios Vrailas. In 2018 she created the group Ecstatic Dance Athens with Daniel Bofill and Manos Chatzimanolis aka DJ Junior X, where they held the first Ecstatic Dance events in Athens. A year later, she continued to co-organize the events with Panagiotis Pavlou and to this day, she facilitates also the circles of her group. Except of collaborating with Manos Chatzimanolis in the Ecstatic Dance Athens events, this period they have started a new collaboration, of meditative movement & soundscapes with therapeutic frequencies, which takes place on a monthly basis at Ananda Unity. She teaches the courses “Transparent Body”, Whirling and Sensorial Movement, which she also guides in the form of a workshop outside of Athens. While at the same time, she gives private “Manual sessions” of the *DBM method and Holistic Massage sessions. She likes to collaborate with colleagues because she believes in the power of togetherness, creating workshops that embrace the broad field of dance with practices of empowerment, integration, healing as well as spiritual practices that approach the philosophical dimension of movement.

FELIX METZGER
Felix Metzger was born and raised in Germany and moved to Athens after his Master’s degree in Sociology and delving into various fields of art and activism. In Greece he became more involved in the Arts of Improvisation, especially Contact Improv and Improvisation Theatre. Since 2016 he has attended CI courses as well as 5 Rhythms and Ecstatic Dance events, while in July 2023 he attended the Contact Beyond Contact’s facilitators training program. Together with friends, he founded the Beehive Community in Athens in 2018. The mission of the cooperative is to offer courses and events in which participants can explore their being and standing in the world, increase their self-awareness and connect deeply with others. This happens by using the Arts of Improvisation, communication tools and connection methods that lead to a pleasurable experience and an openness to well-being and social change.
