Σύντομο βιογραφικό του Dauda Conteh
Ο Dauda Conteh κατάγεται από την Σιέρρα Λεόνε της δυτικής Αφρικής. Από μικρή ηλικία υπήρξε μέλος του National Dance Troupe of Sierra Leone, με το οποίο έχει συμμετάσχει σε φεστιβάλ στην Αφρική (Γκάμπια, Σενεγάλη, Γκάνα), στην Ευρώπη (Ιταλία, Πολωνία, Ισπανία) και στην Τουρκία.
Είναι χορευτής (αφρικάνικος, σύγχρονος, αφροσύγχρονος χορός, ακροβατικά) και κρουστός (djembe, doundoun).
Τα τελευταία χρόνια ζει στην Ελλάδα και εργάζεται ως δάσκαλος αφρικάνικου χορού και ως κρουστός σε μαθήματα αφρικάνικου χορού, διδάσκει σε παιδιά και σε ενήλικες.
Έχει συμμετάσχει στα «Ιερά Τύμπανα της Γης», στο Θέατρο Δόρα Στράτου, 2012-13 (χορός, ακροβατικά), στη παράσταση «The Quiet Voice” της Ερμίρα Γκόρο ως χορευτής (σύγχρονο) και ως κρουστός (μουσική επιμέλεια-Νίκος Κυπουργός) και σε πολλές άλλες εμφανίσεις
σε όλη την Ελλάδα (Θέατρο Σημείο, Bollywood Festival 2014, Byron College Cultural Festival, Fringe Festival)
Είναι μέλος της μουσικοχορευτικής ομάδας Troupe Emma Ya και ένας από τους βασικούς ιδρυτές του συλλόγου Watoto Africa.
Short biography of Dauda Conteh:
Dauda Conteh hails from Sierra Leone in West Africa. From an early age he was a member of the National Dance Troupe of Sierra Leone, with which he has participated in festivals in Africa (Gambia, Senegal, Ghana), Europe (Italy, Poland, Spain) and Turkey.
He is a dancer (african, contemporary, afro-contemporary dance, acrobatics) and percussion (djembe, dundun).
In recent years he has been living in Greece and working as an african dance teacher and as a percussionist in african dance lessons, teaching children and adults. He has participated in the “Holy Drums of the Earth”,
at the Dora Stratou Theater, 2012-13 (dance, acrobatics), in the play “The Quiet Voice” by Ermira Goro as a dancer (contemporary) and as a percussion (music curator-Nikos Kypourgos) and in many other appearances all over Greece (Simio Theater, Bollywood Festival 2014, Byron College Cultural Festival, Fringe Festival)
He is a member of the music and dance group Troupe Emma Ya and one of the main founders of the Watoto Africa.
